This new educational prize honoring Dr. John Bostwick, former Emory University Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery, was announced at the 2014 Atlanta Breast Symposium
This Southeastern Regional contest is for Residents in Plastic and General Surgery on research topics in breast surgery. Winners receive a stipend for travel, accommodations, and complimentary registration at the Breast Surgery Symposium.

The initial Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium in 1985 was held to demonstrate the Transverse Abdominal Island Flap, performed by Dr. Hartrampf.
Established in 2016, the Hartrampf fund honors Dr. Carl R. Hartrampf, Jr. for his world-renown advancements in reconstructive plastic surgery procedures as well as his commitment to Plastic Surgeons dedicated to Breast Reconstruction and Research.
The fund collects support to establish a chair in Plastic Surgery in Dr. Hartrampf's name.

Sam Upchurch was our SESPRS President in 1964 and as a devoted member of our society his widow saw fit to bequeath our Society with funds to initiate the Upchurch Educational Fund as well as the Upchurch Lectureship.
This lectureship has been a virtual "Who's Who" in plastic surgery and has covered a variety of diverse and fascinating topics.
