• Abstracts may be from a Resident in plastic surgery in a training program on research topics in Breast Surgery in the United States. Residents in other specialties are not eligible for this competition. 
  
• A letter from your program director attesting to your good standing in the training program MUST accompany your submission. This must be attached as a PDF file during your submission process. Submissions will not be accepted without this letter. 
  
• Structure of the abstract is very important and will be considered by the review team.  Abstract structure should be: Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
• The Resident submitting the abstract will be the main contact for all correspondence.
  
• Final data MUST be included in the abstract. Clear representation of graphs, tables and photographs included in the abstract will be helpful in making the final selections. Images should be of excellent quality. Abstracts may NOT be more that 250 words. 
  
• Abstracts submitted MUST be on research topics in the breast surgery. Resident abstracts should reflect work done by the presenting resident and must have been done at the sponsoring institution. One abstract will be chosen as the Bostwick Award winner. This will include a stipend of $2,500 for travel and accommodations, as well as complimentary registration at the Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium. 
  
• All abstracts must be submitted electronically.
