2026 SESPRS Medical Student

Scholarship Guidelines

The Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (SESPRS) would like to invite medical students who are in their 3rd or 4th year, from programs in the Southeastern states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee or Virginia and Caribbean), to apply for this Scholarship. There will be two $1000 scholarships awarded to those Students to support their attendance of the SESPRS annual meeting in June 2026 at The JW Marriott in Marco Island, Florida for potentially presenting, networking, and advancing their pursuit of a residency in plastic surgery.

These scholarships will be announced during the Virtual Meeting on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements for the Medical Student Scholarship Application:

• Must be a medical student in the Southeastern States.

• Must be in 3rd or 4th year of medical school.

• Must plan to attend the June 2026 69th Annual Scientific Meeting at The JW Marriott in Marco Island, FL, June 13-17, 2026.

This is a needs-based scholarship. It is open to all medical students interested in a career in plastic surgery who face financial or structural barriers to full participation in educational and networking opportunities in the field of plastic surgery. These barriers may include, but are not limited to, financial hardship or limited access to mentorship and plastic surgery exposure due to the absence of a home institution plastic surgery program. Please specify this need in the scholarship statement you will provide.
